Job Description
IT/HVAC Software Engineer needed in Greensboro, NC area who is now capable or can be trained to perform the following services:
- Utilize programming tools, standards and procedures, and their knowledge of building systems and applications to develop program instructions for Direct Digital Controllers and front ends used on projects.
- Programming will include setup of user interface and/or browser based systems such as Niagara/Tridium.
- Analyze, test, modify, and manage the LAN/WAN infrastructure to include hubs, routers, switches, transceivers, fiber optic (backbone) and CAT5 cabling, LAN/WAN extension devices, Internet and Database administration to properly maintain IT systems and programs.
- The Software Engineer will work with the Project Managers, Hardware Engineers, and Field Engineers assigned to a project to fulfill the project requirements.
- The ideal candidate must have a good working knowledge of the systems commonly monitored and controlled by a building DDC/EMS and be able to incorporate a sequence of operation in to a device and/or workstation application that meets all requirements.
- Systems may include Invensys I/A, Network 8000, DMS, Signal, InVue, Niagara/Tridium, WonderWare, and others. Experience with these named products is preferred but not essential.

Technical Requirements
- BS Degree or equivalent experience.
- The ability to configure, upgrade, and relocate PC hardware, software, and print devices.
- Expertise in deploying and supporting network equipment on either a new or existing IT Network.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN environments.
- Experience with applications in a Microsoft networked environment.
- Experience with JAVA applications.
- Excellent knowledge of PC hardware and problem-solving skills.
